The road to becoming a world champion starts now! USA Cheer has officially opened tryouts for the 2025 USA All-Girl Premier and USA Coed Premier National Teams, offering elite cheer athletes the chance to represent their country on the biggest stage – the ICU World Cheerleading Championships. Are you ready to hit zero and show the world what you’ve got?

- Saturday, October 20th: Life University – Marietta, Georgia
- Saturday, October 26th: Weber State University – Ogden, Utah
- Sunday, October 27th: Cheer Athletics – Plano, Texas

Who Can Try Out?
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be at least 18 years old by January 1, 2025
- All athletes need to have a current USA Cheer Professional or Cheer Coach membership before registering
Selections are happening alongside select USA Cheer Combine recruiting events. Note: video submissions are not accepted, so be prepared to bring your A-game to the tryout floor. You can attend more than one tryout if you choose but will need to register separately for each.
What Skills Do You Need? Athletes trying out for either the All-Girl or Coed Premier teams should come prepared to showcase high-level partner stunts, tumbling, pyramids, and basket tosses. Flyers must demonstrate stunts with clean execution, including multiple trick baskets, double down dismounts, and other advanced skills. For Coed tryouts, be ready to show twisting entries, hand-in-hand variations, and free-flipping dismounts.
Commitment Required Making the US National Team is a huge honor but also a serious commitment. Team members are expected to attend weekend practices in January, February, and March, followed by an intense training period from April 13-22 in Tampa, Florida, before heading to the ICU World Championships on April 23-25, 2025. During this time, you’ll need to be fully available and distraction-free.
The Financial Commitment The approximate cost of being on the national team is $3,500, covering training, travel, uniforms, meals, and competition expenses. USA Cheer works hard to find sponsors and fundraise, but each athlete is responsible for raising up to $1,500 toward their costs.
What Happens Next? Following the final selection event, the coaching staff will review all tryout athletes and select the teams. The official roster will be announced in early November, and a virtual team meeting will follow to discuss expectations and the journey ahead.
