The Big Bid Championship, originally set for January 11–12 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL, has been rescheduled due to the potential for severe winter weather.

In a statement, Deep South Spirit prioritized the safety of attendees: “With the chance of the severe winter weather approaching that could lead to hazardous conditions, we have decided that it is best to not move forward with hosting the Big Bid Championship this weekend. We do not feel that with the current conditions we could give the level of service and quality that Deep South is known for and feel that the risk is not worth the reward to possibly put our attendees and staff in danger. This decision did not come lightly as we know how hard you all have been working to prepare for this event to kick off the new year.”

The decision wasn’t made lightly, as this event was set to kick off the new year with fierce competition and high-flying routines. Deep South acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the athletes, coaches, and families who had been preparing for the event.

Details on the new competition dates and venue will be announced soon.
