NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Pro Cheer League has confirmed it will return for a second season following the conclusion of its inaugural championship in Nashville, where Dallas Drive secured the title on a tiebreaker over Miami Metal.

With Season 1 complete, early details about Year 2 are beginning to emerge, including when additional information will be released.

Season 2 Confirmed, More Details Coming in Daytona

League officials have confirmed that Season 2 is set to move forward, with further announcements expected during NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach.

Those updates are expected to include details on scheduling, teams, and league structure as the Pro Cheer League builds on its first season.

Core Structure Expected to Remain

The league’s competition format is expected to continue into Season 2.

Matches are structured around multiple quarters that combine traditional routines with head-to-head events, including endurance, stunting, and tumbling-based challenges. Scoring remains immediate and placement-based, with each round contributing directly to match outcomes.

The championship in Nashville followed that same structure, with the title ultimately decided in the final event.

Four-Team Model Remains the Current Standard

The inaugural season featured four teams: Dallas Drive, Miami Metal, Golden State Grit, and Atlanta Air.

There has been no official confirmation of expansion for Season 2. While expansion has been discussed, the league has not announced any additional teams or markets at this time.

Athlete Model Continues

The Pro Cheer League will continue operating with paid athletes as part-time employees, a central component of the league’s structure.

Athletes are compensated for participation, appearances, and performance, with additional prize money tied to match and season results.

This model is expected to remain in place for Season 2.

Schedule Structure Still Taking Shape

The inaugural season followed a five-city schedule tied to major cheer events, concluding with the championship in Nashville.

While the full Season 2 schedule has not been released, additional details are expected during NCA College Nationals. That announcement will likely clarify whether the league maintains a similar event-based model or adjusts its structure.

What Comes Next

The Pro Cheer League enters its second season with its core elements established: a defined competition format, a four-team structure, and a paid athlete model.

With confirmation of Season 2 and pending announcements in Daytona, the next phase will focus on how the league develops its schedule, competitive field, and overall presentation.

For now, the timeline is clear. The next major update is expected at NCA College Nationals.
