Top Gun Savannah has officially launched its first competitive season with 24 teams, confirming one of the largest opening-season rosters for a new all star program. The announcement comes on the heels of a grand opening event held May 10, where the gym introduced its leadership, coaching staff, and the refreshed training facilities to the local cheer community.

The new location was formed through a merger of local cheer programs under the Top Gun Savannah brand. The transition created a two location program with the infrastructure to support a 24-team launch across a wide range of divisions and levels.

According to gym leadership, over 600 athletes attended tryouts, a turnout that reflects the excitement surrounding the new program and its affiliation with the nationally recognized Top Gun name.

Owner Adrian Butler, who leads the Savannah program, shared his thoughts on the milestone:
“There’s something about the number 24 that I just can’t get away from—but I’m not mad at it! We’re walking into year one with 24 teams, and we’re beyond blessed. Go Jags!”

Top Gun Savannah joins the larger Top Gun network known for its national titles, Worlds-caliber teams, and athlete development focus. While full competition schedules are still being finalized, the program is expected to make its presence felt at regional and national events throughout the 2025 season.

With team placements now complete and summer training underway, Top Gun Savannah begins its first chapter with a strong foundation—and a full mat.
