Varsity and Aloha Productions announced their merger on December 16, 2016. The move integrates Aloha Productions’ cheer and dance events into Varsity operations.

Aloha Productions, founded by Tammy Van Vleet, was known for its competitions in the Western United States and Hawaii. The merger brings Aloha’s events under Varsity’s umbrella while retaining the brand’s established presence in the cheer and dance industry.

Varsity Spirit confirmed that Van Vleet and the Aloha Productions team would continue their roles within the organization.

“The addition of Aloha Productions strengthens our ability to serve the cheer and dance community with even more outstanding events and training opportunities,” a Varsity Spirit spokesperson stated.
