Julia Hecht is a freelancer content creator for Cheer Daily. Originally from Long Island, New York, Julia found her passion for cheerleading early on. She grew up participating in her town’s recreational league and went on to win UCA High School Nationals with Mount Sinai High School in 2016. She also had top four finishes in 2017 and 2018. Julia retired from the sport soon after and graduated from the University of Miami in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She found her way back to the mat in 2024, where she competed with Stony Brook University at UCA College Nationals. Julia is now retired (for real this time!) and works in local news in New York City.
