The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Cheerleading Division has announced a partnership with The Open Championship Series for the 2025 AAU Cheerleading Junior Olympic Games. The event is scheduled to take place July 28–29, 2025, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
Houston is set to host the 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games from July 23 to August 2, 2025, marking the fourth time the city has welcomed the event. Recognized as the largest youth multi-sport competition in the United States, the Games will feature approximately 15,000 participants competing in 12+ sports, including cheerleading. The event also includes the Celebration of Athletes, a tradition that brings together teams, coaches, families, and supporters.
The collaboration aims to bring together cheerleading programs from across the country, offering athletes an opportunity to compete on a national stage. The event will be part of the larger AAU Junior Olympic Games, a multi-sport youth competition featuring athletes from various disciplines.
