Registration is now open for Global Cheer Worlds, scheduled for April 24–25, 2026 at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Organized by Global Cheer & Dance, the event is structured as a two-day championship experience designed for programs across multiple divisions of the sport.

Unlike many end-of-season events, Global Cheer Worlds does not require a bid to compete. Teams that have not received bids from other competitions can still register and participate in the championship weekend.

At the same time, organizers have confirmed that all Level 5, 6, and 7 teams that register will receive Paid Bids to the event.

Global Cheer & Dance has announced that Paid Bids will be awarded to all Level 5, 6, and 7 teams interested in attending the 2026 Global Cheer Worlds. The championship event will take place April 24–25, 2026, at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola, Fla.

The structure is designed specifically for upper-level teams. All Level 5–7 Elite and Open divisions are eligible to participate, creating a championship environment focused on the highest levels of the sport.

Vaughn Sterling, owner of Global Cheer & Dance, said the goal is to make the championship accessible to more athletes and programs.

“Our mission has always been to elevate the athlete experience,” Sterling said. “Offering Paid Bids to every Level 5, 6, and 7 team helps ensure those athletes can compete without the barriers that sometimes come with end-of-season events.”

A Different Approach to the Championship Weekend

One of the most noticeable differences for families and fans is the event’s approach to the spectator experience.

Organizers have confirmed that parking at the stadium will be free. Spectator admission is also expected to be priced lower than many comparable postseason events. For programs traveling with large support groups, those details can significantly change the overall cost of the weekend.

The venue itself also shapes the experience. Blue Wahoos Stadium, home of Pensacola’s professional baseball team, provides stadium seating and an open-air competition layout. The format allows teams to perform in a large performance ring with space for athletes, coaches, and spectators.

Friday Night Lights

A defining element of the event will be the opening night of competition.

The first day of Global Cheer Worlds will feature a “Friday Night Lights” format, with teams performing under the stadium lights. For many athletes, it is a rare chance to compete in a setting that resembles a major sporting event rather than a traditional convention center arena.

The evening format is expected to highlight upper-level divisions and set the tone for the championship weekend before finals take place the following day.

A Family-Oriented Event Structure

Beyond the competition floor, the event is structured to accommodate families traveling with athletes. The stadium environment allows for open seating areas, outdoor spaces, and a layout that makes it easier for spectators to move between competition viewing and general event areas.

For programs evaluating their postseason options, Global Cheer Worlds presents an alternative route to closing the season. Teams that missed bids at earlier events still have an opportunity to compete, while families may find a more accessible championship weekend experience.

Registration details, schedules, and additional event information are expected to be released through official channels in early 2026.
