The city of Split, Croatia, is set to welcome the world’s university cheerleading teams to the FISU World University Cheerleading Championship from August 2-4, 2024. This is the second-ever FISU Cheerleading Championship, following the inaugural event held in Lodz, Poland, in 2018.

Team USA Coed Elite will face off against Japan in the Coed Premier division, promising a thrilling showdown between these top-tier teams. With 16 to 20 athletes in each team, the competition promises high-energy performances and fierce rivalries. Don’t miss Team USA Coed’s performance on August 3rd at 16:30 CEST!

The championship features nine divisions:

The competition structure ensures excitement over three days. Scores from the first two days determine the semi-final standings, with a minimum of the top five teams advancing to the finals on the third day.

  • Day 1: All teams perform, contributing 40% to the semi-final score.
  • Day 2: All teams perform, contributing 60% to the semi-final score.
  • Day 3: Finals based on 100% of the semi-final score (from Day 1 & Day 2).

While this will be the first FISU event held in Split, it marks the fourth FISU sporting event hosted in Croatia. Split, a city with a rich history spanning 17 centuries and boasting over 100 Olympic medalists, is no stranger to high-level sports. Previously, Zagreb hosted the FISU World University Games in 1987 and will again host the FISU World Forum later this August.

The event kicks off with an opening ceremony on August 1st, followed by three days of intense competition. Cheer fans can catch all the action live and on-demand at fisu.tv.
