Introducing the 2025 Cheer Daily 40 Under 40
Share on FacebookShare on X

The cheerleading industry is filled with passionate leaders, but some stand out for the way they consistently raise the bar—not just in performance, but in purpose. Cheer Daily’s 2025 40 Under 40 honors the coaches, choreographers, creators, entrepreneurs, and change-makers who are shaping the next generation of the sport. Their stories reflect what’s possible when vision meets action—and why the future of cheer is in good hands.

Alexandra Martin Csiernik, 34
JPAC Radiance All Stars – Founder, Head Coach & Cheerleading Director – Radiance All Stars
📍 Indiana

Few individuals embody the spirit, structure, and soul of modern cheerleading like Alex Martin Csiernik. As the visionary founder of Radiance All Stars, Alex has transformed a modest startup program into one of the most respected names in All Star cheerleading—with a resume that speaks for itself.

Since launching Radiance in 2020, Alex has led her teams to the very top of the sport. From D2 Summit gold to a Bronze Globe at The Cheerleading Worlds in the program’s first season, Radiance has become one of only 157 programs in history to earn a globe—and they did it in year one.

Her leadership has sparked extraordinary growth: Radiance expanded from 2 teams and 18 athletes to 11 teams and 150 athletes in just six seasons. Along the way, her athletes have claimed titles at Summit, Youth Summit, WSF, COA, JAMfest Super Nationals, and more—with over 40 major national titles under her direction.

But Alex’s legacy began long before Radiance. As a two-time UCA National Champion with Indiana University and later a two-time D1A National Champion Assistant Coach, she helped build one of the most elite collegiate cheer programs in the nation. She also coached IU Indianapolis to historic finals appearances and led Hamilton Southeastern High School to a state title in 2019.

Driven by purpose and passion, Alex shares,

“When I found cheerleading, I learned who I wanted to be… I dreamed of passing along the passion, the drive, and the family atmosphere to the next generation.”

Her proudest achievement isn’t a trophy—it’s the community she’s built. Radiance is more than a program; it’s a home. Athletes, coaches, and families feel ownership, pride, and belonging under her leadership. Her relentless attention to detail, no-excuses culture, and belief in developing from the ground up have created a team that represents far more than skill—they represent heart.

Alex Martin Csiernik’s impact on cheer is undeniable. As a coach, founder, and role model, she continues to redefine what’s possible when love for the sport meets unmatched work ethic and unshakable vision.

Corey Rickett, 36
Founder – FABCheer LLC
📍 New York

Corey Rickett has spent nearly two decades building champions—on the mat, in the air, and behind the scenes. As the founder of FABCheer LLC, he leads one of the industry’s most innovative coaching and choreography companies, delivering elite-level camps, clinics, and full routines to programs around the world. With a resume that spans six World Championships, eight Worlds podiums, multiple NCA titles, and global speaking engagements, Corey is redefining what it means to be a coach, mentor, and leader in cheerleading.

Before launching FABCheer, Corey spent nearly a decade coaching at Cheer Sport Sharks – Kitchener, where he guided iconic teams like Great Whites, StarSpotted, and Grey Reef Sharks to international success. He also served as choreographer for Team Germany at ICU Worlds, earning silver and bronze medals for their All-Girl and Coed divisions. His approach blends stunt innovation, tumbling mastery, and deep strategic insight into athlete development.

Corey’s coaching journey began as an athlete at Hawaii Pacific University, where he was a multi-time NCA Collegiate National Champion. He quickly transitioned into coaching roles at I’olani School, Cheer 808, and CDA Xtreme before working with Spring CDT and ultimately co-creating FABCheer alongside his wife. His career has taken him from the UCA and Woodward instructor circuit to headline speaker spots at Varsity U, TumbleCon, and international conferences across Colombia and Canada.

His proudest achievement isn’t a medal or trophy, but the launch of FABCheer itself. Built from years of experience and relationships, the company has already helped teams capture major titles at NCA, The Summit, and The Cheerleading Worlds—proving Corey’s philosophy that the best coaches empower athletes to realize goals bigger than themselves.

What sets Corey apart is not just his technical expertise, but his commitment to continual growth, gratitude, and giving back. He’s an elite tumbling coach, world-class choreographer, and one of the most sought-after minds in the industry today. More importantly, he leads with humility and a deep desire to elevate athletes, coaches, and programs at every level of the sport.

April Jenkins, 24
Co-Owner & Head Coach – Pure Allstars
📍 Australia

At just 24 years old, April Jenkins is already rewriting the legacy of cheerleading in Australia.

A lifelong athlete who began cheering at just 4 years old, April’s journey is defined by passion, perseverance, and power. She began coaching at 15, and today, she co-owns and leads Pure Allstars, one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing programs in the country. Under her and partner Kodee Maxwell’s leadership, Pure Allstars has grown from 60 to over 140 athletes in just two years—and more importantly, captured the hearts and aspirations of a nation.

In 2024, April made history as an athlete, coach, and gym owner by bringing home Australia’s first-ever gold medal at The Cheerleading Worlds—a full-circle moment representing two decades of commitment to the sport. Her Worlds title is more than a win; it’s a symbol of what’s possible when belief meets bold leadership.

April is also a Level 7 National Partner Stunt Champion, a multi-level State and National Grand Champion, and a silver and bronze medalist at The Cheerleading Worlds. Her resume is elite, but her impact is cultural.

She shares:

“Every time someone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was always the same: cheer. It wasn’t an obvious path in Australia back then—but I knew it was mine.”

What sets April apart is her ability to combine elite-level results with grounded leadership. She’s a program builder, culture shaper, and role model who leads with both vision and heart. She stays hands-on with every athlete, never losing sight of the individuals behind the skills.

April’s superpower? Resilience.
She’s faced pressure, setbacks, and doubts—but she’s never backed down. She’s created a gym culture where young athletes feel empowered and seen, and she refuses to accept limits based on geography or tradition. She doesn’t just follow the path—she builds it.

As she says:

“That gold medal wasn’t just a win on the floor—it was a statement. It proved that Australian cheerleading belongs on the world stage. And I know I’m only just getting started.”

April Jenkins is the face of the future for international cheer—and she’s making sure that future is bright, bold, and gold.

Avery Lee, 31
Founder – Avery Lauren Photography
📍Florida

In just a few years, Avery Lee has emerged as one of the most recognizable creative forces behind the lens in cheer and dance photography.

A former college athlete, Avery didn’t have ties to the cheerleading world until late 2021—when a friend called her to photograph Battle Under the Big Top in Atlanta. That first day changed everything. The unmatched intensity and performance energy from the floor lit a fire, and from that moment forward, Avery never looked back.

“As an ex-college athlete, the energy I felt that first day was unlike anything I had experienced at a sporting event in my entire life.”

What followed has been a full-throttle journey: Avery hit the road full-time, camera in hand, traveling across the country to capture the heart of the industry—one frame at a time. Her resume includes the biggest and most prestigious stages in the sport, from ICU Worlds and The Cheerleading & Dance Worlds, to Cheersport, JAMfest Dance Super Nationals, Spirit Sports, Encore, and the Allstar World Championship.

Whether she’s on the sidelines of Top Gun TGLC’s iconic performances or documenting brand collaborations like Top Gun x Nissan’s Formula E in Miami, Avery brings more than technical skill—she brings passion.

She explains:

“It’s not what sets me apart—it’s what puts me in the same category as the best. Passion. I want to give athletes images they can look back on and relive a positive memory.”

In a sport where moments happen fast and memories move even faster, Avery’s work ensures they’re not just captured—they’re preserved beautifully. Her relentless work ethic, sports intuition, and artistic eye have made her one of the most sought-after creatives in the cheer and dance space.

Avery Lee represents the new era of storytellers in our industry: versatile, driven, and deeply connected to the athletes and artistry of cheer. And though her story with cheer began just four years ago, it’s already reshaping how the sport sees itself.

Ben Lear, 38
Founder – Ben Lear Choreography, LLC & The Society
📍 Florida

With a career that spans Broadway stages, global competitions, and hundreds of championship routines, Ben Lear is a master choreographer whose artistry has shaped generations of cheer and dance athletes.

From his early beginnings as a gymnast and dancer in New Jersey to his time on stage in The Wizard of Oz at Madison Square Garden and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Ben’s life in the spotlight started young. But it was cheerleading that would become his creative and professional home.

By age 18, Ben launched his career as a professional choreographer, founding Ben Lear Choreography, LLC—a powerhouse creative agency responsible for iconic routines across the globe. He later expanded his team with The Society, a collective of elite choreographers known for pushing the creative boundaries of performance.

Ben’s athletic career is just as impressive: he cheered for South Jersey Storm and Top Gun All Stars, competing with legendary teams like Large Coed 5 and International Open Coed 5 (now Double O). As an athlete, Ben earned 2 Gold and 2 Bronze medals at The Cheerleading Worlds, and countless titles as a choreographer—spanning Summit, National, and World championships.

His choreography portfolio includes work with many of the sport’s most prestigious programs, including California All Stars, Top Gun All Stars, Cheer Athletics, Spirit of Texas, Brandon All Stars, and more. He’s also spent over 15 years choreographing internationally, working with teams throughout Europe and Australia, spreading his signature style worldwide.

“I’ve had the opportunity to compete, coach, and choreograph alongside some of the most innovative individuals in our industry. It’s the relationships I’ve built that matter most—they’ve shaped everything.”

What sets Ben apart is his eye for detail and his unwavering focus on the athlete’s experience. While his routines captivate audiences, it’s his commitment to humility, loyalty, and artistry that keeps him grounded.

“At the end of the day, this is for the kids.”

Ben Lear’s impact on the cheer world goes beyond gold medals—he is an architect of moments, a connector of people, and one of the sport’s most respected creative leaders.

Brady O’Brien, 31
Chief Technology Officer – Cheer Technologies (Themis Events, Cheer Replay, RT Productions)
📍 California

Brady O’Brien is helping lead the transformation of cheerleading’s digital foundation through cutting-edge technology and a deep understanding of the sport’s inner workings.

As CTO of Themis Events, Cheer Replay, and RT Productions, Brady has built tools and systems that are now core to how cheer events operate—from scoring to media to feedback. He started young, growing up inside the industry and working alongside his family’s media company. By his teens, he was producing event media and managing logistics. By college, he was writing code and studying how to solve the core problems cheerleading faced behind the scenes.

His technical work evolved from experience. While earning his degree in computer science and living just outside Silicon Valley, Brady began collaborating with engineers, architects, and leaders in cloud computing to bring modern infrastructure into the cheer space. That collaboration led to Themis, a real-time scoring system used by events worldwide that delivers transparency, auditability, and scale. It also led to the creation of Cheer Replay, which provides near-instant video review with telestration capabilities for coaches, athletes, and judges.

At RT Productions, he developed one of the fastest media delivery platforms in the industry—streamlining high-quality event footage to mobile devices in minutes. His work has earned attention from content platforms far beyond cheerleading.

“The goal has always been to close the gap between how the sport is performed and how it’s supported behind the scenes. I want our tools to match the precision and pressure athletes bring to the mat.”

What sets Brady apart is his ability to listen to the needs of coaches, judges, producers, and athletes, then design scalable tools that respect the real-world chaos of event days. His focus remains on solving meaningful problems—whether it’s ensuring reliable scoring, rethinking performance evaluation, or unifying fragmented systems.

“We’re building systems that athletes, coaches, and event producers can trust. That trust is the foundation for everything else.”

Brady’s work is helping raise the bar across the board, proving that when the technology catches up to the talent, the entire industry benefits.

Brienne Thompson-Fields, 30
Program Director & Head Coach – Top Gun UK
📍 United Kingdom

Brienne Thompson-Fields has redefined what it means to lead from outside the U.S. cheerleading circuit. As the head coach and program director of Top Gun UK, she has built a legacy of excellence and creativity, helping elevate European cheer onto the global stage.

Her career includes 10 Summit titles, 6 NCA titles, 3 UCA championships, and multiple Grand Summit Champion wins. In 2022, she coached the first non-U.S. team to earn the Triple Crown, and her team Shadow became the first ever to receive a perfect score of 100.

Brienne has also made her mark internationally as a coach for Team England Youth Coed and All Girl, helping both earn silver medals at the ICU World Championships. Her teams have secured four All Star World Champion titles and multiple top-five finishes at The Cheerleading Worlds.

But perhaps her most significant achievement is how she’s helped shape the reputation and competitiveness of Level 1 cheerleading. Through groundbreaking choreography and athlete development, she’s proven that lower levels deserve just as much pride, performance, and recognition as the upper divisions.

“When Shadow first started, Level 1 wasn’t seen as particularly competitive or prestigious. Watching that shift happen—and knowing we were part of it—is something I’m incredibly proud of.”

Brienne’s choreography is all developed in-house, and her routines are known for pushing boundaries and raising expectations across divisions. She also choreographs for programs globally, with teams she’s worked with earning Summit titles, NCA championships, and national victories.

Although she holds a master’s degree in Contemporary History, Brienne couldn’t walk away from cheerleading after university. Her passion for coaching and developing young athletes kept her in the sport—and that passion shows in every athlete she trains.

“What inspires me is watching athletes grow—not just in skill, but as people. That’s the part I’ll never get tired of.”

Today, Brienne leads a thriving program in the south of England with 150 athletes under the Top Gun UK name. Her commitment to creative excellence, athlete empowerment, and inclusive team culture has made her one of the most influential coaches in the global cheer community.

Carmine Silano, 39
Founder & CEO – CheerSounds
📍 New York

Carmine Silano is the architect behind one of cheerleading’s most impactful innovations: the transformation of cheer music into a licensed, scalable, and professionally produced industry standard.

With a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Music Industry from Northeastern University, Carmine combined two passions—music production and software development—to build a dual business model unlike anything the cheer world had seen. On one side, CheerSounds operates as a record label, producing original tracks for teams across the globe. On the other, it functions as a SaaS platform that empowers users to create and customize music with ease. Together, the two businesses fuel one another—supporting coaches, athletes, producers, and creatives all under one roof.

“Cheer music used to be chopped-together MP3s. I knew it could be real music—legitimate, exciting, and industry-safe—all without losing the flair that makes cheer music unique.”

Carmine launched CheerSounds with a clear vision: automate the process, simplify access, and scale quality. That clarity led to a full embrace of copyright compliance, helping shift the industry toward fully licensed music between 2014 and 2016. Today, Carmine holds one awarded patent and two patents pending in automated music production and distribution, and his innovations have been featured in Cheer Biz News and recognized on their “35 Under 35” list in both 2015 and 2016.

He also serves on the USASF National Advisory Board, where he’s helped guide policy and platform integrity since 2015.

But beyond the infrastructure and innovation, Carmine’s work is driven by real-world impact: the energy on the mat when the music hits, the confidence it gives coaches, and the jobs it’s created in a space he helped legitimize.

“We create music that makes people move—and we build software that makes that music possible.”

Carmine continues to lead CheerSounds alongside his wife (who helped start the company in its earliest days) and their three children. Whether he’s sitting at a piano, writing code, or leg pressing 1,480 lbs at the gym, he’s always focused on one thing: pushing cheer forward, one beat at a time.

Dr. Maria Wisman, PT, 27
Founder, The Cheer Doctor
📍Ohio

Dr. Maria Wisman is changing the game in cheerleading—literally. As the founder of The Cheer Doctor, she blends elite athlete experience with medical expertise to help cheerleaders train smarter, recover faster, and perform at their highest level. A three-time gold medalist and former cheerleader for The Ohio State University and Team USA, Maria knows firsthand the physical demands of the sport.

Now a licensed physical therapist, she’s made it her mission to reduce injuries and improve performance for cheerleaders across the country. Through her business, she provides accessible strength and conditioning programs, injury prevention education, and athlete-centered support for teams that otherwise wouldn’t have access to professional resources.

Maria’s work isn’t just about physical training—it’s about equity. She’s leveling the playing field for cheer programs of all sizes, ensuring that every athlete has the tools to succeed. Her approach is grounded in care, innovation, and a deep commitment to giving back to the sport that shaped her.

From athlete to advocate, Maria is redefining what it means to lead in cheer—building a stronger, safer future for the athletes of today and tomorrow.

Cat Haley, 31
Founder – Cat Haley Cheerleading & The Cat Haley Method
📍 Connecticut

Cat Haley has spent more than two decades shaping the next generation of athletes—first as an elite performer and later as an educator, innovator, and advocate for injury prevention in cheerleading.

She began her journey in rural Maine, where access to all-star cheer was limited but her passion was undeniable. That drive led her to The Stingray Allstars, where she became the first out-of-state athlete to make the famed Orange team. In 2013, she helped lead them to an undefeated season and a World Championship title. She remained with the program through college, coaching Levels 1–5 and contributing to numerous wins at NCA, UCA, CHEERSPORT, and The Summit.

After returning to New England, Cat launched Cat Haley Cheerleading, offering clinics and choreography throughout the region. When the pandemic hit, she pivoted quickly—developing a virtual training program focused on flyer flexibility, jump technique, and safe progression. That program became The Cat Haley Method, which has since worked with thousands of athletes in 48 U.S. states and 7 countries, creating accessible, at-home training systems for all ages and skill levels.

“My goal has always been to teach athletes how to train smarter, not just harder—and to make education in injury prevention part of the norm in cheerleading.”

Cat’s method and voice are informed by experience. She’s a three-time ACL and meniscus injury survivor who turned her recovery into research, blending performance training with anatomical understanding. Her work prioritizes long-term athlete development, teaching safe technique that leads to stronger bodies and sustainable progress.

Beyond the mat, Cat is a gifted communicator. She regularly speaks at conferences, leads coach development sessions, and mentors professionals on adapting instruction for every kind of athlete. One of her most meaningful stories is about a young athlete with selective mutism, whose life was changed by Cat’s inclusive approach to coaching.

“That one moment reminded me how powerful cheerleading can be. Sometimes all it takes is one person to believe in you.”

Today, Cat continues to blend performance, passion, and purpose—creating a culture where every athlete can thrive, no matter their background or ability. Through her business, her story, and her mission, she’s become one of the most respected names in athlete education and development.

Celia Kiogima, 35
Senior Director – Champion Cheerleading
Former Head Cheer and STUNT Coach – Davenport University
📍 Michigan

Celia Kiogima has spent her career at the intersection of athlete development, program leadership, and industry-wide education. With a proven record of success in both collegiate cheer and STUNT, Celia is a standout leader whose influence reaches far beyond the mat.

As the Senior Director of Champion Cheerleading, she plays a pivotal role in shaping one of the industry’s most recognized training platforms—guiding staff, programs, and athletes across the country. Her journey with Champion began as a staff member and evolved into a leadership role, driven by her passion for teaching, learning, and developing meaningful relationships through cheer.

Celia is also a decorated former coach at Davenport University, where she led her teams to nine NCA National Championships, nine STUNT National Championships, and four STUNT Conference titles. Her success was never just about the scoresheets. For Celia, the proudest part of coaching has always been the people.

“The best accomplishment in my career isn’t a title—it’s the relationships built along the way.”

Known for her ability to connect across all levels of the sport, Celia’s influence spans campers, collegiate athletes, and fellow coaches. Whether she’s guiding a new generation of staff, mentoring athletes on the college floor, or strategizing from the director’s seat, her impact is consistent: she elevates those around her.

“This sport has transformed me. I’ve been an athlete, a coach, a staff member, and now a senior leader—and every chapter has taught me something new. And I’m just getting started.”

Celia Kiogima’s career is proof that you don’t have to choose between performance and purpose. Her leadership is built on both—and the industry is better because of it.

As the Founder and CEO of ClicknClear, Chantal built a first-of-its-kind music licensing platform after Sony Music sued cheerleading in 2016 for copyright infringement. In response, she created a legal solution that is now used across major cheer events worldwide, securing global licenses with all major record labels and offering a seamless one-stop shop for using popular music in sports. Her company’s technology is now implemented at top-tier events in gymnastics, artistic swimming, and even the Olympic Games.

But Chantal’s impact doesn’t stop there. As an athlete and Director of ParaCheer International, she has helped launch adaptive cheerleading teams in 18 countries, mentoring programs in the U.S., China, and across Europe. In 2021, she performed at the Paralympic Flame Lighting Ceremony, and after returning to sport post-pregnancy, she helped her team take home gold at the ICU World Championships—cementing her as one of the most versatile and dedicated forces in cheer.

“My favorite accomplishment? Watching athletes in the adaptive division take the mat for the first time—knowing we helped create that opportunity.”

Chantal is also pioneering the future of cheerleading at the Paralympic level. Behind the scenes, she’s been working with international stakeholders to develop a new cheer division that meets the eligibility standards for the Paralympic Games—aiming for a landmark showcase debut in 2026.

“I’ve adapted partner stunt for wheelchair athletes, coached around the world, and one of our videos reached 27 million views. But what matters most is the doors we’re opening for the next generation of disabled athletes.”

From the ICU podium to viral videos to music compliance at the world’s biggest events, Chantal’s vision and hustle continue to redefine what’s possible in cheer—and ensure that no athlete is left behind.

Shelby Swartz, 30
Founder, Gym Owner, Head Coach – The Cheer Pitt Kansas City

Shelby Swartz’s cheerleading journey began when she was just nine years old, after starting gymnastics at just 18 months. Her passion was clear early on—by 12, she was already telling anyone who would listen that she wanted to own her own gym one day. That dream became a reality in 2017 when she founded The Cheer Pitt Kansas City. Since its inception, the gym has experienced explosive growth, moving from half a spring floor and 85 athletes to a state-of-the-art facility with three full floors and more than 300 athletes in 2025.

A former UCA staffer and Pittsburg State University cheerleader, Shelby has competed and coached at all levels of the sport. She was named Cheerleader of the Year by Cheerleader Magazine in 2011 and featured on its cover. Her leadership and coaching have helped shape athletes not just in skill, but in confidence and character.

In 2025, her program became the first Kansas-based gym to ever win The Summit—taking home the title in the U16 Level 4 division.

Shelby is equally proud of her impact off the mat. As a mom of three boys under the age of four, she leads with compassion, perspective, and balance. She’s built a culture where athletes feel valued, supported, and seen. Her gym offers inclusive programs, including a cheer abilities team and a Junior Coach Program, helping young athletes grow as leaders and role models.

Shelby’s work is a testament to what’s possible when passion meets purpose, and she continues to raise the bar for what a young female entrepreneur in cheerleading can achieve.

Since his cheer journey began in 2006 with Infinity Allstars in Jacksonville, Florida, Keith has become a staple in the all-star community—both as a coach and as a creative force who pours heart and purpose into every performance he touches.

Having cheered with elite programs across the country—including Florida Elite Allstars, Heart of Texas, Pro Spirit, Rockstar Cheer Woodstock, and the University of Texas at Arlington—Keith’s diverse background informs his wide-ranging approach to creativity and team development. Owner, Music Producer | Spirit of Texas All Star Director / Royal Custom Music
📍 Texas

Teighlyr Sullivan is the owner of Royal Custom Music and the All Star Director at Spirit of Texas, where he has built a powerhouse career both on the mat and behind the music. Since launching Royal Custom Music in 2008 and joining the New Level Music umbrella in 2012, Teighlyr has produced hundreds of mixes for some of the top teams in the world—including 50+ Summit-winning routines and 4 that captured gold at the Cheerleading Worlds.

A former athlete himself, Teighlyr cheered for Spirit of Texas from 2008 to 2014 before becoming a coach in 2012. In 2018, he was named the All Star Director. His coaching resume includes 16 NCA titles and leadership that has helped shape Spirit of Texas into one of the most respected names in cheerleading.

What sets Teighlyr apart is his dual impact on the industry—elevating athletes as a coach while sonically shaping the sport through his music. He sees that continued trust and collaboration as his greatest achievement: being the sound behind a team’s story and earning his place in their gym season after season.

He’s a believer in the rising generation of cheer professionals who once competed against each other and now lead the industry as coaches, producers, and creatives.
