History was made in Chengdu, China, as USA Cheer claimed the gold medal in the debut of Pom Doubles at the 2025 World Games.

Representing Wisconsin’s Energizers Dance Studio, Sydney and Allison executed near-perfect routines across all three rounds—posting scores of 88.50, 88.75, and 89.86. Their consistency, artistry, and sharp execution led the competition from start to finish.

This marks the first time Pom Doubles has been included in a World Games event. The U.S. duo qualified by winning the World Games Series in Hong Kong earlier this year, setting the stage for a dominant showing on the international floor.

Lauri Harris, Executive Director of USA Cheer, called it a “historic moment” for the sport. “Sydney and Allison brought passion, teamwork, and flawless execution to the floor,” Harris said. “They set the tone for what Pom Doubles can be on the world stage.”

With alternate Ava supporting their journey, the trio showcased the precision, energy, and sync that defines performance cheer. Their gold-medal win is more than a victory—it’s a breakthrough for a division rapidly gaining global traction.

USA Cheer’s track record in the Pom Doubles division continues to impress, with prior golds and silvers at the ICU World Championship and ICU World Cup, and a recent silver at the 2024 Pan-American Championship.

The 2025 World Games win reaffirms the United States’ leadership in cheer innovation and athletic excellence.
