NBC just dropped the official trailer for Stumble, a brand-new scripted cheerleading comedy set to premiere Friday, November 7 at 8:30 pm ET/PT. The series dives into the high-pressure, high-drama world of junior college cheer—where the pyramids are shaky, the coaches are intense, and the stakes are unexpectedly real.

Stumble follows Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon), a once-elite coach “one championship shy of being the winningest in college cheer history,” now tasked with building a team from scratch at Headltston State Junior College—if she can even pronounce the name right.

With its sharp writing and comedic edge, Stumble offers a fresh take on the junior college cheer scene—where every stunt, basket, and misstep could go viral. The trailer teases just enough chaos and charm to get cheer fans buzzing.

The newly dropped trailer teases everything from mid-routine naps to poached rivals and high-stakes stunt fails. “I’m looking for tumblers and stumblers,” Potter says while recruiting a less-than-elite roster. Her new mission? “I’m just trying to make sure nobody dies.”

Joining Lyon is Taran Killam as her husband, with Kristin Chenoweth recurring as rival coach Tammy Istiny—who doesn’t take the transition gracefully. Also featured are Ryan Pinkston, Jarrett Austin Brown, Anissa Borrego, Arianna Davis, Taylor Dunbar, and Georgie Murphy.

You can check out the official trailer above, and here’s a look at the official key art poster:

Created by Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof (Trial & Error), and executive produced alongside Monica Aldama (Cheer), Dana Honor, and Jeff Blitz, the series dives headfirst into the “ridiculously high stakes” of junior college cheer—where every flyer counts and every mistake might go viral.

The trailer wraps with Potter reflecting on what keeps her fighting: “Cheer’s not just being on a team. It’s family. Can I win the title? I can. I will. I must.”

This new series is one to watch.
