NCA & NDA Collegiate Championship Marks 29th Year in Daytona Beach

The iconic beach showdown that defines collegiate cheer is back. From April 9–13, 2025, the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship returns to Daytona Beach for its 29th consecutive year, uniting top teams from across the nation in one of the sport’s most iconic competitive environments.

Varsity, in partnership with the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and National Dance Alliance (NDA), will welcome over 470 elite college cheer and dance teams to the Ocean Center and the Daytona Beach Bandshell, where squads will battle for national titles—and the honor of hoisting the golden trophy high before diving into the Atlantic.

These teams represent the best in collegiate spirit and performance. Athletes will put it all on the mat, executing elite tumbling, jaw-dropping stunts, and precision pyramids that push the sport of cheerleading to its limits. It’s a pressure-packed proving ground where top collegiate programs deliver their cleanest routines in front of a national audience.

“This event has become a defining moment in the collegiate cheer and dance season,” said Bill Boggs, Senior VP and Director of College Programs at NCA & NDA. “Daytona Beach remains the premier destination for our college programs.”

And the city of Daytona Beach is all in. With 38 hotel partners activated and local businesses joining in on the welcome, the championship energizes the entire region.
