NBC’s new cheerleading comedy Stumble is set to premiere Friday, November 7 on NBC, bringing sharp humor and behind-the-scenes chaos to the world of junior college cheer. Airing at 8:30/7:30c right after the Season 2 premiere of Happy’s Place, the series dives into the fierce, funny, and occasionally dysfunctional world of competitive cheer.
We’ve got our first official images from the set, and they give a clear glimpse of the offbeat cast of characters and the high-stakes cheer environment they’re thrown into. From pyramid fails to clipboard meltdowns, Stumble promises comedy rooted in the pressure-packed grind of a sport that rarely gets the spotlight in sitcoms.
The series stars Jenn Lyon, Taran Killam, Ryan Pinkston, and Jarrett Austin Brown, with Kristin Chenoweth in a recurring role. Adding major cheer credibility is executive producer Monica Aldama, head coach of the Navarro College cheer program and breakout star of Netflix’s Cheer. Aldama brings her expertise to ensure every stunt, basket, and pyramid reflects real-world cheer intensity.
Written by Jeff and Liz Astrof and produced by Universal Television and Defining Eve Productions, Stumble follows in the tradition of The Office and Parks and Recreation, using its single-camera style to mine the absurdity and humanity of a team trying to hit zero while holding it all together.
The debut episode drops Friday, November 7, only on NBC, with episodes streaming next day on Peacock.
